Master Plan for 2041

Dindigul LPA is in Dindigul District which is bound by Karur and Trichy districts on the North, by Sivaganga on the East, by Madurai and Theni district on the South and Tiruppur Districts on the West. Total District area is 6266.64 Sq.km and its 2011 population is 21,59,775. It has 10 taluks.

Existing Dindigul LPA area is 198.91 sq.km. Proposed expansion of the Dindigul LPA includes 1048.47 Sq.km totalling 1247.38 Sq.km. Its population as per 2011 census is 8,11,445.LPA consist of 1 Municipal Corporation, 5 Town Panchayats, 5 Census towns and 93 Villages.
